Argus McGrowen & the Purple Bin Program

We are pleased to welcome a new character to the TERRA family, Argus McGrowen. Argus is our Green Ambassador and he is here to remind us all of the small acts of green that we can make in our everyday lives. From rain-barrels to recycling every little bit helps, and at TERRA we are pleased to work with our customers to make a difference. Look for Argus on the TERRA Purple Bin and help us recycle horticultural waste.

TERRA is one of the first retail garden centres to implement full scale recycling of all our pots and trays and we thank all of our customers for embracing the Purple Bin Program. Argus is pleased to announce that by the end of July 2009 we have been able to divert over 11,300 kg (more than 25,000 lbs) of horiticultural plastic from our landfills. Now that is something to be proud of.
