Excellent as an individual specimen or in a small grouping, Beech thrive in well-drained soils.  The Dawyck Purple Beech is a particularly slender variety with upright branching.  Leaves are purple to purple-red and will become a deep brown in the fall – leaves are remain on the tree through the winter for added seasonal interest.
