Dianthus, or Border Pinks, or Perennial Carnations… whatever you call them, they’re fragrant and delightful to grow! These perennials have been popular in gardens for centuries. They are excellent for massed bedding, growing in the perennial border or in mixed containers and tubs. Plants are midsized, with upright stems of fragrant, single or double flowers in various pink tones. Blooms in spring, again in summer and once again in the fall. Remove fading flowers to encourage more buds to form.
